The new Thames Valley region of Explore Living, has announced its third land acquisition with the purchase of a 20-acre brownfield site located in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
The site, situated on Martin’s Way, already has outline planning permission for up to 386 homes. Explore Living plans to provide a collection of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses, totalling 193 homes.
The site was purchased from the Dixon Group, in partnership with Bellway Homes and Explore Living anticipates its development will be launched by Spring 2009.
Roy Willer, Managing Director of Explore Living Thames Valley comments: “The Stevenage site is Explore Living Thames Valley’s second in Hertfordshire and its third purchase since the division was established late last year. The development will offer buyers the best of country life whilst being only a short commute to Central London and also the tranquillity of Cambridge. Its position is suitable for those who frequently travel aboard, as the London Luton and London Stansted Airports are located close by.”
The site is positioned on the outskirts of Stevenage just a short drive to the A1 motorway, along the A1072. First Capital Connect provides a fast and frequent service for commuters who can enjoy a 30-minute journey to London Kings Cross or 40-minute journey to Cambridge. Stevenage is also a 20-minute drive away from London Luton Airport and 40 minutes from London Stansted Airport.
Plans to regenerate Stevenage town centre are well advanced and will no doubt add to the attraction of living in such a vibrant location. Click here for further information and to register your interest.
