Thames Valley Region Acquire RAF West Ruislip Site In Ickenham

Published on 26-Mar-2008

The new Thames Valley region of Explore Living is pleased to announce it has acquired part of the former RAF West Ruislip site, located along Ickenham High Street.

Contracts were exchanged on the 5.5-acre Brownfield site with Cala Homes on Friday 8th February. The site, a former post-war US Naval Facility, already has outlined planning permission and Explore Living is set to build 156 apartments and houses.

The site is in a prime location for those who regularly commute to London or the plethora of Thames Valley business parks. Positioned between West Ruislip tube and rail station and Ickenham Tube station, commuters will have less than a five-minute walk to either station.

Roy Willer, Managing Director of Explore Living Thames Valley comments: “Our new Ickenham site will be the second development Explore Living Thames Valley will manage, having jointly secured Balls Park in Hertford last August. Ickenham is an up-and-coming area, perfect for young professionals and young families given its easy commutability to business districts and the heart of London. It will also prove attractive to those wishing to downsize. This acquisition further highlights Explore Living’s growth within the industry as a private, residential developer”.
